2 months later...

My apologies to those of you who have been following my Europe trip blog posts - I have left you high and dry!  Life has truly moved on since then, but I do want to finish blogging about our trip.  So the following are some photos and ramblings about highlights, favourites and other bits and pieces in an effort to sum up this tremendous adventure!

Favourite Photos that Really 'Capture the Moment':

Kathy created such an explosion of bubbles in the toilet of a train!  This photo was taken after she had run hurried back to her seat (laughing all the way) to find her camera and get us to come and have a look.  The original mound of soap suds was much larger! What a laugh!

Good fun in Mirabelle Gardens, Salzburg.  Can't you just conjure up the image of all those VonTrapp children skipping and dancing and singing through this very arbour? 

'Culture Shock' Moment:
We had just arrived in Paris, different language, shoddy hostel that wasn't prepared for our arrival so we immediately left on an excursion for nearby Montmarte and Sacre Coeur while the room was being readied.  A few steps away on Rue de Steinkerque, and this is what we saw...

a street packed with people...

and a shopping district unlike anything we had ever seen... 

How does one actually find anything amongst this mess?

Somehow it all felt a tad intimidating...
